    Stone of Jordan
     rings have been sold to vendors across all games on a given realm and server. Contributing your own can be done from a game created in any difficulty. However, only games in Hell will spawn Diablo's Clone.


    The exact number of sales required for online games varies between 75 and 125.

    Single Player is quite straightforward since it only requires one (Yes, only one!).

    You will receive one of six messages in chat for each new progress tier achieved, culminating in the arrival of Diablo's Clone. These are the 6 tiers, in order:


    • Terror gazes upon Sanctuary.

    • Terror approaches Sanctuary.

    • Terror begins to form within Sanctuary.

    • Terror spreads across Sanctuary.

    • Terror is about to be unleashed upon Sanctuary.

    • Diablo has invaded Sanctuary!

    Diablo's Clone

    One of the strongest foes in D2, Diablo's Clone or "DClone" is a major challenge if one is not adequately equipped for the task, but as we'll cover here, there are ways to level the playing field. When the dust settles, hopefully you are left standing with a powerful new item to show for it!


    Finding Him

    Diablo's Clone will always spawn in place of the first Superunique monster you approach after the final chat message informs you that he has invaded Sanctuary. It is therefore possible to spawn him virtually anywhere you prefer. Popular locations include:


    • Frigid Highlands Waypoint (Eldrich the Rectifier).

    • Palace Cellar Level 3 from the Arcane Sanctuary Waypoint (Fire Eye).

    • Cairn Stones in the Stony Fields (Rakanishu).

    Defeating Him

    While most builds can take him on, some are much better at surviving and killing Diablo's Clone consistently. Doing so cheaply and safely early in ladder resets can be key in securing your bounty. One such build is Smiter Paladin, or any other build that leverages

    Life Tap curses a group of monsters so thatdamaging them gives the attacker life Required Level: 18
    to heal 50% of their Physical Damage dealt as Life. A high Life pool and capped Fire and Lightning Resistances are also paramount for survival.


    Perhaps the biggest issue offensively is that Diablo Clone has a massive amount of Life Replenish. Here are a few ways to counter it:


    • Prevent Monster Heal: Requires a player to hit him with an attack while having a source of the stat equipped.

    • Increase damage dealt by reducing his resistances with

    Unidentified Annihilus Small Charm
    . Only one can be carried in your inventory at a time, however you may put as many as you want in your shared stash tabs. It is by far the strongest and most versatile Small Charm in the game, so it is always worth participating in World Events when they happen. With +5-10% to all Experience gained, it is one of only two sources of this stat in the game, which makes it essential for pushing high levels quickly. The other stats it provides are universally beneficial, which when well rolled can fetch quite high prices.
