Diablo 2 Act Bosses

Last updated: 4/9/2024

Act Bosses act as crucial milestones in D2R, each guarding the entrance to the next Act. They present significant challenges but are designed to be conquerable with the right strategy and gear, despite their high resistances and health. Defeating these bosses is essential for advancing in the game. Tackling Act Bosses is rewarding, with the potential for high-value item drops. These bosses are among the few that can drop items from the highest Treasure Class, offering the chance to obtain some of the best equipment in the game. Act Bosses are unique in that they don't regenerate health, are categorized as Demons.

Andariel - Found deep in the Catacombs

Andariel's Historical Betrayal

Historical records from the Horadric archives indicate that Andariel, along with other Lesser Evils, once staged a coup against the three Prime Evils—Diablo, Mephisto, and Baal—exiling them from Hell to the mortal realm.

Her Presence in Sanctuary

Given this past treachery, Andariel's appearance in Sanctuary suggests that Hell's forces are once more united under the banner of Diablo and his brothers. It's evident that Andariel serves Diablo's agenda by obstructing anyone attempting to pursue him to the east. It's equally evident that she must be vanquished to halt the Lord of Terror's plans. Andariel resides in the fourth level of the Catacombs.

Misguidedly, the hero embedded the Soulstone shard into his own skull, giving Diablo a more formidable vessel for his dark plans.
