What is the best Sorceress build? Well, that depends:

Killing act bosses and Super Unique monsters with a fair amount of magic find bonus is how one amasses wealth in the demon-ridden world of Sanctuary. Blizzard Sorceress is by far, the easiest character to begin magic finding and reaching a point where you can gear alternate characters and builds you may want to try. Blizzard sorceress excels at felling Andariel, Mephisto and Pindle and farming high level areas such as The Pit, Ancient Tunnels, Lower Kurast and The Secret Cow Level, despite immunities to cold damage in Hell difficulty. A hybrid variant of the popular cold archetype commonly referred to as a “BlizzBaller” combines Blizzard or Frozen Orb with the versatility of Fireball to quash pesky cold immunes with ease. With those tools in her kit, the BlizzBaller can clear virtually any area in the game as long as monsters are not Cold and Fire immune simultaneously. While it may have less damage than the pure Blizzard variant, it does make farming The Countess in Hell, a viable strategy to acquire Uber Keys and guaranteed Runes. The Lightning Sorceress is often the final stage in progression of a sorceress because of the high investment required and the fact that it allows you to clear any area in the game with relative ease. Hell has a high density of Light immune monsters where the lack of an Infinity runeword on your mercenary will make a lightning character far worse off compared to the cold or fire variants. Because of this, the Infinity runeword is absolutely mandatory for this build.
